BE YOURSELF

Why would you want to be someone else
When you could be better by being yourself
Why pretend to be someone you are not
When you have something they haven’t got

Cheating yourself of the life you have to live
Deprives others of that only which you can give
You have much more to offer by being just you
Than walking around in someone else’s shoes

Trying to live the life of another is a mistake
It is a masquerade; nothing more than a fake
Be yourself and let your qualities show through
Others will love you more for being just you 

Remember that God loves you just as you are
To Him you are already a bright shining star
Family and friends will love you more too

Hi I am going to tell you what I thought was good about a wrinkle in time

The main theme was individuality vs. conformity because it’s all about earth being different when Camazotz was all the same. Overall the book was great with a few mistakes wich made it boring. What I thought was the most memorable was when the first meet the most evil/sinister thing on Camazotz. It was IT! if you read the words carefully it would paint a very gruesome picture.What I thought  was least was when Meg, Charles wallace, and Calvin with the three Mrs. W’s visited the 2-D world. The reason why is because it was like about one sentece in the book about it. I liked that it had a happy ending. What I didn’t like was how I had seen the moive years before.

Today Mr.R wants me to answer about what i think about Meg’s personality. This is what i think.

I think Meg is a depressed teen. she doesn’t see the good things in life because good things are hard to find. She needs a time to be alone to think about life. It’s also really sad because her dad is missing.

1.why is Meg Murry unhappy at school?

She is unhappy because they make fun of her and her baby brother.

2.How and why does Calvin fit in with the Murry family?

He fits in because he never had a good time with his family before.

3.Where and why do Calvin, Charles Wallace, and Meg go with Mrs.Whatsit, Mrs.Who      Mrs.Which?

They go with because the want to find Mr. Murry.

4.In your opinion, why do the three children accept the three Mrs.W’s rather than fear them?

It was because Meg and the others thought the Mrs.W’s where really kind and friendly.

5.In what ways does Meg seem like any other young person? In what ways are her feelings similar to yours?

Learning for life  i have to pretend that I am Meg’s guidance counselor and i have to send a letter to her mom.

Dear Mrs.Murry,

Meg is not what i thought her to be. It seems that she has big problems with the teachers and students at school. She is also sad because of you being depressed about her dad. I will try to talk with the students and teachers. But you will have to talk to her about her dad.

 The New Discovery

January 3, 2603, was the day that the first four kids left the Milky Way to travel to the Lylat System, where no man has ever returned.  It was a sad day with families crying as we got onto our rocket ship called Delta 12.  The four kids chosen were named Devin, David, Tony, and Joey.  Even when our families were crying, the four of us kids were so excited!  Then once all the families left, they started the countdown.  “ Five, four, three, two, one……..lift off.”  That was the last time we saw Earth for ten years.

First it was too quiet for Devin’s liking.  Then came the noise “beep, beep, beep…”  It was the landing alarm.  “Everyone get to your seat,” Devin said.  What they saw was amazing!  It was like seeing a preview of the newest television series.  The planet was green, red, and white.  As we were landing we could see the details of the planet and the inhabitants.  “Wait a second….they are dinosaurs!  It’s impossible!  This must be the greatest discovery ever!” said Devin.  The door opened and out came the kids looking at dinosaurs with their laser pistols at the ready.  When the crowd parted, what they saw amazed them.  It was a fully grown triceratops guarded by four velociraptors.  “This must be their king”, whispered David.  First there was silence.  Then came “gazoot ra mima coda caspa,” from the triceratops.  “I think it is trying to communicate with us,” said Tony.  “Ah, Earth dwellers, welcome to the planet Lylet,” said the king.  Then more silence.  Until “Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh,” screamed Joey, as he was running around in circles.  “Be quiet, Joey,” yelled Devin.  Then the triceratop said “Now let us feast!”.  Joey said “good, what are we having?”.  “You” replied the king.  Then there was chaos and lots of fighting with dino guts going everywhere.  But there were too many.  “Retreat”, yelled Devin.  Then Devin and two comrades ran to the trees.  They heard a scream for help, when they realized that Joey wasn’t with them.  Devin ran back to his friend who was bleeding badly to give him cover so he could run to the trees with the others.  Shooting like a maniac, Devin ran into the mass of dinosaurs, while screaming “run Joey, I’ll cover you.”.  Devin, Tony, and David killed all the dinosaurs except the king.  Devin knew there would be more so he looked for a place for them to hide.  All he saw was a really tall mountain, and he knew that would have to do.  So, Devin, Tony, David, and Joey started to head for the mountain but after a while they came upon an obstacle.  It was a giant lake.  Luckily the four had masks and breathing equipment that turns water into air, and just in case they had their laser knives for any unwanted visitors.  Once they began their swim, they spied a shark, bigger than any they had ever seen.  It was a megalodon.  Then suddenly it attacked.  They realized that it was attracted to their laser knives so they threw them to the bottom of the lake and the shark followed.  They swam as fast as they could to the other side of the lake, and when they finally reached it they were so tired they fell asleep sitting under a tree.  Then there was a noise.  Devin had just enough time to jump out of the way before an axe buried itself into the ground.  “Everybody up!”  “We are under attack!” yelled Joey.   Silence then “Who you be” said a mysterious voice.  “We are people from earth,” said Tony.  “I too people of earth. I named John.  I live here very many years,” said John.  “Here John lets go back to where you live.” Said Devin. “Yes, yes me have Rocket plane.” Said John.  “You mean Rocket ship takes us to it because use five could get home.  It was a short walk to get to John’s Rocket/house.  “Ok we will make a few modifications and done. Let’s go home.”  Said David.
